Are you looking for BRAF MUTATION ANALYSIS Test in UAE? DNA Labs UAE is here to help. We offer this test at a cost of AED 1330.0.
Test Name: BRAF MUTATION ANALYSIS Test
Components
- Price: 1330.0 AED
Sample Condition
To perform the test, please submit a formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue block. Ship the sample at room temperature. The block should have at least 10% tumor tissue. Alternatively, you can also submit 3 mL (2 mL minimum) whole blood from 1 Lavender top (EDTA) tube. Ship the blood sample refrigerated. Do not freeze.
Note: The submitted paraffin block must have at least 10% tumor tissue. Also, a duly filled NGS Test Requisition Form is mandatory.
Report Delivery
The sample should be submitted on Tuesday by 11 am, and the report will be delivered on the following Monday.
Method
The BRAF MUTATION ANALYSIS Test is performed using PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and Sequencing techniques.
Test Type
This test is specifically designed for detecting mutations in the BRAF gene, which is commonly associated with various types of cancers. It falls under the category of Cancer tests.
Doctor
This test is recommended by Oncologists.
Test Department
This test is conducted in the Molecular Diagnostics department of DNA Labs UAE.
Pre Test Information
Before performing the test, it is essential to ensure that the submitted sample contains at least 10% tumor tissue. Additionally, a duly filled NGS Test Requisition Form is mandatory.
Test Details
The BRAF mutation analysis test is a laboratory test used to detect mutations in the BRAF gene. The BRAF gene plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and division. Mutations in this gene can result in uncontrolled cell growth and are commonly found in various types of cancers, including melanoma, colorectal cancer, and thyroid cancer.
The test involves analyzing a sample of tissue or blood to identify specific changes or mutations in the BRAF gene. The most common mutation detected is the V600E mutation, although other mutations can also be identified.
This test is primarily used in the diagnosis and management of cancer patients. It helps determine if a patient’s cancer is driven by BRAF mutations, which can guide treatment decisions. Targeted therapies, such as BRAF inhibitors, have been developed specifically for patients with BRAF-mutated cancers.
The test is typically performed using molecular techniques, such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or next-generation sequencing (NGS), to detect and analyze specific DNA changes in the BRAF gene.
Overall, the BRAF mutation analysis test is an essential tool in personalized medicine. It helps identify patients who may benefit from specific targeted therapies based on their BRAF mutation status.
