How is the performed and what sample is required?
A formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tumor tissue block with at least 10% tumor cells is required. The sample is obtained via biopsy or surgical resection, fixed in formalin, and embedded in paraffin. The block must be shipped at room temperature along with a duly filled Chromosome & FISH analysis Requisition Form (Form 17). No special fasting or medication adjustments are needed.
