This service sequences, assembles, and functionally annotates the entire genome of a polyploid plant species from scratch, without a reference genome. It provides a complete map of chromosomes, gene locations, regulatory elements, and repetitive regions, enabling detailed study of complex traits, evolutionary relationships, and crop improvement targets. The Illumina NovaSeq platform delivers high-depth, high-accuracy reads essential for resolving polyploid complexity.

We require a 2 mL whole blood sample collected via standard venipuncture, or 1 µg of high-quality extracted DNA. Our temperature-controlled cold-chain home collection service ensures sample integrity from your location to our ISO-accredited laboratory. For extracted DNA shipments, please use a sterile, labeled microcentrifuge tube placed in a sealed biohazard bag with a cold pack.

Results are delivered within 8 weeks from sample receipt. This timeline encompasses library preparation, sequencing, de novo assembly, quality control, functional annotation via the NCBI Eukaryotic Genome Annotation Pipeline, and final report generation with interpretative summaries.
