Additionally, we need a 2 mL (1 mL min.) serum from 1 SST and a 3 mL (2 mL min.) serum from 1 metal free White Top (Z-No Additive) tube, both available from LPL. These samples should be shipped refrigerated or frozen. Finally, a 4 mL (2 mL min.) whole blood sample from 1 metal free Royal Blue Top (K2EDTA) tube, also available from LPL, is required. This sample should be shipped refrigerated and should not be frozen. It is important to use powderless gloves during specimen collection and to ship the samples at the specified temperatures. Overnight fasting is mandatory.
