How should I prepare for the test?
No fasting is required; record your date of birth, sex, race, and religion accurately on form.
Maintain normal hydration. The lavender-top EDTA tube must be filled with 4 mL whole blood, kept refrigerated, never frozen. Inform the phlebotomist if you have had a recent transfusion.
