Submit a pure bacterial isolate on correct agar, refrigerate without freezing, clearly label the body site.
Your referring doctor will provide an appropriate transport medium (e.g., Stuart’s or Amies). Place the plate in a leak-proof biohazard bag, keep it at 2–8°C using a cold pack, and avoid freezing.
