CHEMO SARS-CoV-2 SCREENING PROFILE Test
Welcome to DNA Labs UAE, a leading genetic lab offering the CHEMO SARS-CoV-2 SCREENING PROFILE Test. In this blog, we will provide you with detailed information about the test, including its components, cost, sample condition, report delivery, method, and more.
Test Details
The CHEMO SARS-CoV-2 Screening Profile Test is a diagnostic test used to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19. This test utilizes a technique called reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to detect the genetic material (RNA) of the virus in a patient’s sample.
The test involves collecting a sample, usually from the respiratory tract, such as a nasopharyngeal swab or sputum. The collected sample is then processed in a laboratory, where the RNA is extracted and converted into DNA through reverse transcription. The DNA is then amplified using PCR, which allows for the detection of even small amounts of viral genetic material.
The CHEMO SARS-CoV-2 Screening Profile Test is highly sensitive and specific, meaning it can accurately detect the presence of the virus. It is commonly used for screening individuals who may have been exposed to the virus or who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
It is important to note that the CHEMO SARS-CoV-2 Screening Profile Test is a laboratory-based test and requires specialized equipment and trained personnel to perform. The test results are typically available within a few hours to a few days, depending on the laboratory’s capacity and workload.
It is always recommended to consult with a healthcare professional for guidance on testing and interpretation of test results.
Test Components
- Sars-Cov-2 RT-PCR
- CBC
- NLR
- CRP
- LFT
- KFT
Price
The cost of the CHEMO SARS-CoV-2 SCREENING PROFILE Test is 1100.0 AED.
Sample Condition
For this test, the sample condition requires 3 mL (2 mL min.) serum from 1 SST and 3 mL (2 mL min.) whole blood from 1 Lavender Top (EDTA) tube. Additionally, oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swabs, ET secretions, BAL, or sputum should be inoculated in special viral transport medium (VTM) available from LPL. The samples should be shipped refrigerated in a special transport box available from LPL. It is important not to freeze the samples. Duly filled Covid-19 Clinical Information Form (Form 44) / SRF ID as mandated by GOI is mandatory.
Report Delivery
The sample for the CHEMO SARS-CoV-2 SCREENING PROFILE Test should be submitted daily by 11 am, and the report will be delivered within 2 days.
Method
The test is performed using real-time RT-PCR, electrical impedance, VCS, spectrophotometry, indirect ISE, and immunoturbidimetry techniques.
Test Type
The CHEMO SARS-CoV-2 SCREENING PROFILE Test is classified under the category of infections.
Doctor
This test is typically ordered by a physician.
Test Department
The test is conducted in the DNA Labs UAE Test Department.
Pre Test Information
Before undergoing the test, it is mandatory to fill out the Covid-19 Clinical Information Form (Form 44) or provide the SRF ID as mandated by GOI.
