At DNA Labs UAE, we offer the Dialysis SARS-COV-2 SCREENING PROFILE Test to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in patients undergoing dialysis. This test is specifically designed for individuals receiving dialysis treatment, as they may be at higher risk of contracting and spreading the virus due to their frequent contact with healthcare professionals and other patients in the dialysis center.

The Dialysis SARS-COV-2 SCREENING PROFILE Test includes the following components:

To perform the test, we require a 4 mL (3 mL min.) serum sample from 1 SST, 3 mL (2 mL min.) whole blood sample from 1 Lavender Top (EDTA) tube, and nasopharyngeal & oropharyngeal swabs in a special Viral transport medium (VTM) available from LPL. The samples should be shipped refrigerated and should not be frozen. Overnight fasting and sampling before 12 noon is preferred. Iron supplements should be avoided for a minimum of 24 hours prior to specimen collection. Additionally, the Covid-19 Clinical Information Form (Form 44) / SRF ID mandated by GOI should be duly filled.
