Test Details
The MICRONUTRIENT DEFICIENCY SCREEN Test is a diagnostic tool used to determine if an individual has any deficiencies in essential micronutrients. This test analyzes a blood sample for levels of various micronutrients, including vitamins A, B12, D, E, and minerals like iron, zinc, and magnesium. Other markers of nutrient status, such as folate, calcium, and selenium, can also be included in the test.
The results of the MICRONUTRIENT DEFICIENCY SCREEN Test provide valuable information about an individual’s nutritional status and can help identify any deficiencies that may be contributing to health issues or symptoms. Based on the results, healthcare professionals can recommend appropriate dietary changes or supplementation to address the deficiencies.
It is important to note that this test does not cover all possible micronutrient deficiencies, as there are many other micronutrients that can be tested for. Additionally, the results should be interpreted in conjunction with other clinical information and should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis or treatment decisions.
Overall, the MICRONUTRIENT DEFICIENCY SCREEN Test is a useful tool in assessing an individual’s nutritional status and identifying potential deficiencies that may be impacting their health.
