FISH – t821 OR LSI ETOAML1 Test
Cost: AED 1200.0
Symptoms Diagnosis:
The FISH test, also known as Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization, is a molecular cytogenetic technique used to detect and locate the presence or absence of specific DNA sequences on chromosomes. It is commonly used in cancer diagnosis and research to detect chromosomal abnormalities, such as gene rearrangements or amplifications.
On the other hand, the LSI ETO/AML1 test is a specific FISH test used to detect a chromosomal translocation between the genes ETO (RUNX1T1) and AML1 (RUNX1). This translocation is commonly found in a subset of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cases and is associated with a poorer prognosis.

In summary, both tests are FISH tests, but the LSI ETO/AML1 test is a specific FISH test designed to detect a specific chromosomal translocation associated with AML. |
